I can't remember the last time that Ryan and I didn't have 500 things on our plate for a weekend! It was beyond nice to only have 2 things we actually had planned. On Friday after work, we met my whole family at the bowling alley to watch Rose finish out her JV season. She was honored as All-Conference JV and special honors! Way to go Rose!
Then as my family had a pizza dinner (Ryan included!) I met my girlfriends out for dinner to celebrate Megan's birthday! Megan has requested Cafe Maude in Loring Park and it was so good! We enjoyed wine, drinks, some awesome flatbreads and I enjoyed Mac n' Cheese! Yummy! It was so fun to see my favorite high school ladies- we missed you Tracy and Syd!
My coffee at the end of dinner almost looked as big as a bowl of soup!
On Saturday after a lazy morning on the couch- we made it to the gym for a workout with Danielle and Mike and then while Ryan did a little work at home I ran around town. I dropped of the Christmas cards I designed for my grandparents and then some pictures I had printed for my mom. I ran to the grocery store to get a few things for the dinner we were having with Ryan's brother, Ben and Becca (Ben's wife!).
We had a fondue dinner with Ben and Becca- 4 courses! Course 1&2 were apples and bread with a cheese dip. Course 3 was shrimp, steak, and chicken in some tasty sauces. And course 4 was strawberries, marshmallows, angel food cake, and pineapples dipped in chocolate. It was all so yummy!
The start of the night... setting up and wine pouring!
While enjoying course 1&2 we played a little "Newlyweds" game- and yes, Ben & Becca won!
But Ryan thought he was pretty funny with his first 4 answers... read that all at once :)
"Chunky, Dive, Me, Do"
Brothers...
Sisters...
ALL the food was so good! Ben and Becca are great cooks! Yummy!
And Sunday we woke up to snow- okay only a dusting of it but still! What the heck?! Dupree hardly wants to go outside to do his business.
Ryan and I ran errands on Sunday morning- Home Depot, Costco, Target... we filled up the car and swiped the credit card! We took a little time to go to the gym in the afternoon and finished the night with cooking dinner together and watching a movie, the Big Miracle.
All in all- it was a great weekend!
