19 Weeks

Here is a sneak peak of the nursery!!  Walls are done!!

Pumpkin this week...
~ Baby is developing a protective coating over the skin, called vernix caseosa.
~ Working on the five senses... nerve cells for the senses are developing in the brain.

Size of the Baby?
6 inches long and 8.5 ounces.... however last week at 18 weeks and 2 days Baby Hannay weighed in at 9 ounces.  Ryan was proud of his little growing pumpkin!
Total Weight Gain/Loss?
+1 lb. this week.  Currently up 11 lbs total.  Slow and steady wins the race right?!

Maternity Clothes?
I made a few purchases from Pink Blush Maternity and I can't wait to wear them.  The tank top in my 19 week picture is one of the new ones.  I just had to wear it on our 90 degree Tuesday!

Stretch Marks?
None.  But can I say that my tummy itches so much!!  Must be all the stretching happening.

Best Moments?
Our Mother's Day and gender reveal!!  If you didn't see the celebration you can get caught up here. It was so fun to share the news that we will have a son in October!  Also I have to say my husband was beyond amazing for my first Mother's Day.  Manicures and pedicures for the rest of my pregnancy and a thoughtful and sentimental mom-to-be figurine too.  I loved it!

AND seeing our little man at the 18 week ultrasound.  Baby is doing great!  We feel really blessed and continue to pray that our pumpkin grows and develops strong and healthy.
Movement?
Still not a ton.  Every once in a while I feel something but nothing frequent yet.

Nausea/Vomitting?
Knock on wood- I think it's getting better- knock on wood!

Labor Signs?
Hopefully we have at least 20 more weeks until that starts!

Gender?
So happy to be having a baby BOY!
Belly Button In or Out?
In!

Wedding Rings On or Off?
On and not even a little tight

Sleep?
Getting better... I either wake up at 12:30 for a potty break otherwise I can make it to 4:30 and I LOVE those nights!

Wisdom?
Talk to your doctor about any concerns.  Ryan and I watched a documentary about hospitals/OBGYNs vs. midwives and at home births.  Although I am convinced and set on delivering in a hospital with my doctor, it did bring up some really good points and things to think about.  I was able to ask about how quickly my doctor expects labor to progress and how naturally she will let me attempt to labor.  So my advice is to make sure you and your doctor are on the same page and make sure that whatever birth plan you have is the right one for you.  Ryan and I are figuring ours out now... crazy!

What am I most excited about?
Unrelated to baby but this warm weather we are finally having!  It's wonderful!  Maxi skirts, tank tops, and sandals... I'm a happy mama-to-be!
