35 Weeks

Cheesing much Colin?!  Oh my word.  What a ham!
I can't believe this was last week at 35 weeks pregnant.  Time is flying and before we know it baby will be here!  Things are wrapping up- his nursery is almost done (pictures to come soon!) and I've been trying to get Christmas stuff complete as well.  I would love to be all done and ready by this next weekend so in the event that this little guy comes early, we are ready.
I've been feeling really good- a little bit of back aches and sometimes I have a hard time breathing, just because there isn't too much room for my insides anymore.  But all in all, I'm good.  I'm sure in the coming weeks I will get more uncomfortable and I will be ready to have my body back- I'm close to that feeling now.  But I'm happy to have this baby on the inside for a few more weeks!  Stay put kiddo-- you're supposed to be a 2015 baby!

33 & 34 Weeks

I've fallen behind on blogging!  But I have good reason... food poisoning and then vacation!  I had food poisoning 2 days before we left for our Florida vacation and well then I spent last week enjoying the Florida sun with my family as we celebrated Thanksgiving.  And so I have been MIA.
34 weeks pregnant in Florida was amazing!  I will recap the trip soon but it was the perfect first family trip.  Colin had a wonderful time and it was a nice break before baby joins our family!

32 weeks

So I'm beginning to wonder how big this baby is going to be?  He is no longer kicking and jabbing my insides but is rolling and moving like he is running out of room.  I'm a little worried that he might be bigger than his brother was- 8 lbs and more like his daddy who was 10 lbs.  Yikes!
The whole family is healthy and feeling better.  It is so nice to have my fun, easy going baby back and it's nice to have energy again.  I feel like I saw a glimpse of life with two babies last week and to be very honest, it makes me nervous.  Just the unknown of when I will ever shower, will I ever sleep more than 3 hours straight again for the next 18 years, and will I ever go grocery shopping on my own?  I know this life will be full and having all my boys will give me the most blessed life- one better than I could imagine.  It's the little details- the really unimportant things that make me wonder.  And in the midst of the chaos, I can't wait to snuggle my boys, hear them running in the hallway upstairs together, and watch our family become just what it was meant to be.

31 weeks... a little late

Last week was hard.  Colin was sick almost all week with a fever between 101-103.  Ryan was sick with a sore throat and I was congested and exhausted.  Colin couldn't be at school all week so that meant a lot of Colin and mommy time to snuggle and fight that dumb fever.  I am thankful to report that Colin is doing great now and was back at school yesterday.  But the look on his face in this picture pretty much sums up the week and how he felt- not himself.  Everyone kept asking how I was and to be honest, I felt like I got a glimpse at what being a mom of two will be like.  I was beyond tired.  I cried quite a bit out of sheer exhaustion.  I hated seeing my baby sick.  And every time Colin cried, this baby would kick the crap out of my insides.  I felt like I was stretched pretty thin and began running on empty.  So I'm thankful last week is behind us and we are all on the better side of healthy!

30 Weeks

If your jaw is on the ground you can pick it up!  Yes I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I don't know where the time went?!  Oh my gosh!  This week has been a reality shock.

I had my 30 week doctor appointment and my doctor said he would be surprised if I make it to 40 weeks.  Baby is growing lots and I'm measuring a little ahead of schedule.  On top of all else, with back to back pregnancies, this baby has dropped quite a bit.  And so he said when I feel that first painful contraction to get my butt to the hospital ASAP.  As we discussed these details I think panic set in!  Oh my gosh!  We are going to have two babies under 15 months in a few weeks!  Yikes!  As my dad said- I should have thought about this a few months ago.  Thanks dad!

For the rest of you, this means that New Years is 9 weeks away, Christmas is 8 weeks away and Thanksgiving is only 4 weeks away!  So get your butt in gear and get ready for the holidays.  Over here, we will get ready for the holidays and this baby!

I can't wait to meet this little guy and bring him home- but I can wait a few more weeks!

Colin's One Year Pictures + Maternity Pictures too!

We took Colin's one year pictures plus some maternity pictures at Minnehaha Falls Park.  It was a beautiful and warm Sunday afternoon.  Of course Brett Dorrian captured our family as well as styled up my hair and makeup.  I can't do pictures without Brett!  Colin was working on popping a molar and the excitement of the park was almost overwhelming for him.  He was happy as could be if he could walk around on his own but a "posed" family picture was just not in his skill set that day.  It's okay- I like that we can remember this time in his life as a busy boy, on the move!
So without further to do and without sharing our Christmas card pictures...

Thanks Brett for another great session!  See you in January for newborn pictures again!!
