18 Weeks

I'm starting to get really anxious and excited to know if baby is a boy or girl!  Less than 2 weeks and I can't wait!  I know it will be so much more real- even more than it already is- to know if we have another son or a daughter joining us in January.
I've felt a few more movements lately, mostly like baby is pushing against something inside.  Not the same kicks or jabs I felt with Colin but I know that will come soon!  I've noticed that moving around is getting a little harder- as in bending to help Colin walk is not very comfortable.  I'm wondering how this is going to work for 22 more weeks!  I'm sure it will be a sight to see!

Kneekers

One disadvantage of our house is that we have all hardwood floors.  Everywhere except the bedrooms is hardwood.  And although they are pretty easy to keep clean, they aren't the most kid friendly.  Crawling on wood floors isn't super comfortable and I'm sure the beginning of walking independently will be full of crashes.  In fact sometimes Colin gets tangled in his own arms and we've had a few face plants on the hardwood floor.  It's not fun.  Anyways, my mom found these Kneekers as a great solution for Colin comfortably crawling on the floor.
They slip right on those chunky little legs and the rubber piece fits perfect over his knees.  He doesn't mind crawling on the hardwood floor when he is wearing these.  If he isn't wearing them, he does a funny scoot on one knee while holding the other one up.
I found them online here.  The only thing that is sort of a bummer, is they were a little tight on Colin's thighs so Ryan stretched them out- which helped Colin- but it made the edging come undone and now they are unraveling.
I would highly recommend them still for the beginning crawler with hardwood floors.  On the other hand they GREATLY expand Colin's mobility so maybe not :)
Gotta run, Colin's on the move-

17 Weeks

Other than I can cry at the drop of a hat this last week, life has been pretty normal.  Then again, that is pretty normal for me too.  I feel like I popped early on but have not really grown much since a few weeks ago- which I'm just fine with!  I've been feeling really good and can't believe we are already 17 weeks into this journey!  Love you so much baby #2!!

Sleeping at the Dinner Table

This post is a few weeks late but I had to share it anyways.
Colin slept over at his Nona and Papa Rossco's the night before and I think he was all jazzed up when he did not want to go down for his afternoon nap and thus we have this...
We may have placed the spoon and puffs on his tray just to add to the humor of this night.
Love my little sleeper.

16 Weeks

This week's picture sort of explains a lot...
1. Colin is on the move
2. I'm tired
3. Clothes are really fitting funny now as maternity clothes are sometimes too big but my normal clothes are too tight so I have to get creative
4. The Snookie bump has come back into my hairdo styles as I'm too tired to do anything else
5. I do like avocados a lot lately
6. I had a wonderful birthday with two of the best boys in the whole wide world!

Nine Months

Oh hey there little man!
Baby Stats:
Weight: 20 lbs. 7 ounces (at the doctor's office last Wednesday)
Sleep: Colin has been pretty good about sleeping thru the night.  He goes to bed at 8pm, he is guaranteed to wake up one hour later and just a little back rub and he is back to sleep.  Then he is up around 5:30 for a bottle and back down until about 7-7:30.  Every once in a while (like right now) he has a funny pattern of waking up around 1am and again just needs his back rubbed.  And in napping news- someone gave up their morning nap.  Colin was taking an hour in the morning and an hour nap in the afternoon but those became a fight as he wasn't totally tired for either.  SO- big guy gave up the morning nap and this Mama is LOVING a solid 2 hour afternoon nap!  It's great!
Feeding: He has a bottle (with formula) at 5:30, 9, noon, 3, 6, and 8.  And then he has cereal at breakfast at 9am and solid foods at lunch and dinner.  He LOVES cheese and bread.  And he could not be more uninterested in fruits and veggies.  We just keep trying :)
Diapers: size 3
Clothing: 9 month clothes
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Milestones: Colin now has 8 teeth.  He is crawling.  Says Mama and Dada.  He is pulling himself up on everything.  He takes about 5-8 steps between people.  And he had his first overnight this last week.  He is BUSY!
Nicknames: Goomba
Favorites: Johny Jump Up, Running and walking with assistance, pulling himself up on everything, swinging, just being BUSY!

40 weeks in and 40 weeks out!

  My Sweet little Monkey Man-
I continue to fall more in love with you every day.  You are a total combo baby- a perfect mix of your daddy and me.  You think you are funny- just like your daddy.  And you don't like to sit still for very long- just like your mommy.  You are crawling now and almost walking- you have made life very busy!  We love it.  And we are tired.  I love watching you discover new things and I love seeing you figure out the world around you.  You've become very curious of all things technology and that makes us have to be one step ahead of you all the time.  You are a very, very smart little guy!
I love your personality and who you are becoming.  You're simply the best.  Thanks for letting me be your mama.  I feel blessed every morning when you crawl into bed and give me a huge hug!  It's the BEST!  I love you more than words can say!  And I can't believe in 3 months, we will be celebrating your 1st birthday!
Love you to the moon and back,
Mama

15 Weeks

It was really sunny outside when we took this weekly picture so excuse the squinting and bad lighting!

This week has been fun as we celebrated our friends Gavin and Trisha and the upcoming birth of their baby girl.  And while we hosted the party, Colin went to Grandpa and Grandma's for his first overnight!  I'm happy to report it went great!  Also this week is Daddy's Birthday!  We are celebrating all week long- dinners with family and friends and then a long overdue date night for Ryan and I while Colin enjoys an overnight at Nona and  Papa Rossco's!  YAY!

We had a doctor appointment this week and heard a strong little heartbeat.  We feel incredibly blessed each time we hear that beat!  It's crazy to think that the next time we go to the doctor will be to find out if baby is a boy or girl!  I'm not as anxious this time- like I was with Colin- but I'm sure as the week gets closer, I will be bouncing out of my seat excited to know!

I thought it would be fun to compare a year ago to now-- as we celebrated Ryan's birthday--
15 weeks this year, 28 weeks last year!

I'm feeling pretty good- still can't look at dirty bottles.  And I'm a little tired but I think that has more to do with Colin crawling and trying to walk than this pregnancy.  Ryan and I still look at each other weekly and say "I can't believe we are having another baby!"  It's still amazing!
