Two Months

On Thursday, Colin turned 2 months.  2 MONTHS!  Can you believe it?!  I can't!  I cannot wrap my head around the fact that Colin has been here for two months.  Ryan and I talk about how it feels like he has been here so much longer than that and yet, didn't he just get here?!  WOW time flies for real!

Baby Stats:

Weight: Yesterday at his 2 month check up Colin weighed 13lbs. 9 ounces.  Holy cow is he growing!

Sleep: Bedtime is still between 10-11.  He typically sleeps about 4.5-6 hours, eats, and then sleeps again for 3 hours.  We haven't had a 6 hour stretch since Thanksgiving but I'm hopeful.  I can't complain though, 4.5-5 hours isn't so bad.

Feeding: This kid is a champ!  He eats really well... obviously!

Diapers: size 1 

Clothing: size 3 months but I suspect by 2014 he won't fit in them anymore.  Hello 6 month clothes on my 2 month old baby.

Hair Color: Brown

Eye Color: Still up for debate but leaning towards brown

Milestones: Smiling, Cooing and "talking"!  Tracking/watching people in a room and recognized mama and daddy's voices.
Nicknames: Pumpkin, Pumpkin Noodle, little I-tie (little Italian), little Man
Favorites: Activity gym, swing, Moby wrap, and talking to mama and daddy!

My Sweet little Colin,

You are two months old now and I am blown away that every morning I wake up more in love with you.  How is that even possible?  This month was a big month of discovery for you.  Your intentional smiles and mimicing sounds has been so fun to watch.  You almost amaze yourself with your voice.  You have the most beautiful smile and when you wake up at 3am and smile, I could care less about sleep.  I'm hopeful you will continue to sleep well.  You are getting into more of a routine and I think you are a happy baby with this.  

You bring an indescribable amount of joy to us.  Thanksgiving was given new meaning this year and I know your first Christmas will be incredible as well.  The joy and meaning you have brought to my life is like no other.  Your daddy and I love you to the moon and back.

Adopt a Family

Last week I got together with some of my girlfriends to do "adopt a family."  Mallarie organized it- thank you Mal!  Our family is a mom, dad, and little girl named Lyla.  We bought fun gifts for them and wrapped them up.  Lots of toys and clothes for Lyla, mittens and hats for the whole family, gift cards for a Christmas meal, and toiletries too.  It was so fun and Colin got to be a part of it too!  And then Mallarie made sugar cookies for us to decorate.  Too fun!

Colin's Newborn Pictures

Well once again Brett Dorrian did an amazing job capturing our special moments!  If you EVER need pictures done, I highly recommend Brett and the best added bonus is she can style your hair and makeup too!  Who doesn't love to get all done up for pictures?!  

Two weeks after Colin was born Brett came over and styled me up and then took Colin's newborn pictures.  I am completely in love with them.  Eat your heart out...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's amazing to look at these and see how much Colin has already changed.  Again thank you Brett for taking these and creating another hard choice- which ones to put up in the house?!
